Dr. Setter
Dr. Mark K. Setter, D.D.S., M.S.
Dr. Setter was born and raised in Port Huron, graduated from Port Huron Northern High School and St. Clair County Community College. He completed his undergraduate training with highest honors and awards at the University of Michigan, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Upon graduation, Dr. Setter received more awards than has ever been bestowed at the time of graduation, including awards in Periodontics, Oral Medicine , Prosthodontics and Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Setter was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon scholastic honorary society. After completion of his dental degree, Dr. Setter advanced his education in Periodontics and received a Masters in Science in 1981 from the University of Michigan. Dr. Setter has continued his education in Dental Implantology and graduated from the Misch International Implant Institute at the University of Pittsburgh in 1996. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Setter is on the faculty of The University of Michigan, teaching in the graduate program in Periodontic and Dental Implantology. Dr. Setter also teaches at the Misch International Implant Institute and is on the faculty of Temple University in Philadelphia. Recently, Dr. Setter was elected to the International College of Dentists, selection being based on outstanding service to the community and to the profession, and also selected as one of The Best Dentists in America by his peers.
Dr. Setter is frequently invited to lecture to dentists throughout the country on subjects related to advanced dentistry, including programs given to The American Academy of Periodontology, The International Congress of Oral Implantology, the BioHorizons World Symposium and State and Local Dental meetings. Dr. Setter remains active and current in his profession with the following affiliations:

Dr. Setter and his wife, Susan, have two children, Michael and Jill. The family enjoys boating, skiing, travel, tennis and golf.
